Farmers in Kratie province have successfully grown cauliflower and cabbage in greenhouses, aiming to increase their crop yields and quality.
Farmers spoke of the benefits of greenhouse farming, such as reduced fertilizer use, non-seasonal planting, and ease of cultivation.
A resident of Sop Krom village, Sop commune, Prek Prasap district, Kratie province, Mr. Ho Pros told National Radio of Cambodia that the provincial Department of Agriculture provided materials for greenhouse construction and training to local farmers.
Mr. Ho Pros has been growing cauliflower and cabbage in greenhouses for three years, which has made him a remarkable success.
He said that the success of the quality of the crops has allowed him to earn high profits, which has enabled him to expand his greenhouse.
