About CLESIDRA

The CLESIDRA project (Civil Society Links and Empowerment for Socially Inclusive Development in Ratanakiri, Cambodia) is a pioneering effort co-funded by the European Union to promote sustainable and inclusive socio-economic development in Ratanakiri Province. It seeks to bridge the gap between civil society, local authorities, and the private sector, aiming to establish a lasting environment that encourages active citizenship and economic growth.

The CLESIDRA initiative revolves around three key outcomes:

  • The PLASED Platform – A dedicated network for CSOs, Local Authorities (LAs), and Socio-Economic Service Providers (SESP) to maintain ongoing dialogue on socio-economic inclusion.
  • Participatory Value Chain Strategies (STRAT) – Crafting four resilient strategies for vital local sectors: Rice, Cassava, Forestry products, and Eco-tourism.
  • Comprehensive Services System (COSS) – A subdivision of PLASED aimed at offering practical services and support to foster the province’s socio-economic growth.

The CLESIDRA project is a collaborative effort brought to life by a dedicated partnership of local and international organizations:

  • FELCOS
  • ILS LEDA
  • Build Community Voices (BCV)
  • Urban Poor Women Development (UPWD)

Together, these partners are ensuring that development in Ratanakiri is not just about economic numbers, but about the people who live there.
